About Macro Agent Desk

You already analyse markets. You just can't analyse enough of them.

You pull the chart, check the COT data, scan the options chain, read the macro backdrop and synthesise it into a directional view. You've been doing this for years and you're good at it.

But doing that work properly for one market takes an hour. Doing it across 15 futures markets (FX, commodities, indices, and bonds) takes most of a weekend. And by Wednesday, half of it is stale.

So you compromise. You go deep on the three or four markets you're actively trading and skim the rest. Or you cover breadth at the expense of depth and miss the nuance that makes the difference.

And even when you have the time, you have preferences. Every trader does. You might lead with technicals and treat COT data as a secondary check. Or you might be fundamentals-first and only glance at options flow when someone flags unusual activity.

The disciplines you don't naturally prioritise are exactly where the signals hide that invalidate your thesis. The breakout that looks clean on the chart but has record short positioning building against it. The supply deficit that should be bullish but where the options skew says someone large is already hedging the reversal.

Those signals aren't invisible. They're in the data you didn't get to this week.

Every experienced trader has a version of this story: the market they weren't watching that made the move they would have caught with proper prep. The thesis they held too long because they didn't see the positioning shift in the data they skimmed. The regime change they missed because they were deep in their favourite markets and didn't notice what bonds, copper, and the yen were saying simultaneously.

These aren't mistakes. They're the natural cost of being one person trying to do the work of a team.

Macro Agent Desk is the research pod you'd build if you had the team.

Six specialist AI agents analyse their market through a different lens — technical structure, fundamentals, sentiment, options flow, institutional positioning, and economic backdrop. An Asset Agent synthesises their views into a single coherent briefing. The same process an institutional macro desk runs, automated and consistent. Then we do the same 7-agent workflow for all 15 markets.

Every Sunday at 12pm GMT, the desk publishes intelligence briefings across the 15 most actively traded markets.

15 markets. 6 disciplines. One Sunday morning read.

Why This Exists

MAD was built by Bobby Shaftoe, a London-based trader and technologist who lived with these exact problems in his own trading. He didn't need someone to explain markets to him. He needed a research pod that would run the same multi-discipline analysis he'd do himself — across every market, every week, without cutting corners.

He built the system with Claude Code for his own trading. The reports are the same ones he uses to position his own book. Sharing them was an afterthought to help others in the same position. The quality wasn't.

Radical Transparency

Every directional call is logged. A rolling track record is visible in every report. Our weekly review grades every call from A+ to F, names the worst performer alongside the best, and publishes rolling accuracy across all 15 markets.

We publish the reasoning behind every bias — which disciplines agreed, which diverged, and what drove the final synthesis. You evaluate the logic, not just the outcome.

What You Won't Get

No trade signals. No entry points. No stop losses. No position sizing. Those decisions belong to you — they depend on your account, your risk tolerance, and your methodology.

If you want someone to tell you what to buy and when, this isn't the right service. If you want comprehensive macro prep across more markets than you have hours for, covering disciplines you don't naturally reach — the desk is open for you.
